Dr. Patel received his medical degree at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. After finishing an internal medicine internship at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, he completed an Anesthesiology residency at Tulane University. Dr. Patel then combined a passion for medicine and teaching at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he served as an assistant professor for the Anesthesiology Department. In this role, he earned the respect and admiration of his students who named him one of the department’s “Top 10 Teachers” two years in a row. Dr. Patel continued his training with a fellowship in Pain Management at UAB.
Dr. Patel joined The NeuroMedical Center in 2012 and specializes in treating all types of pain.
