Pricing Transparency
The Spine Hospital of Louisiana (SHOLA) is dedicated to providing patients with the information necessary to make informed decisions regarding their healthcare, including financial transparency and literacy as well as the many medical services available here at SHOLA. Specifically, regarding financial transparency, this includes assisting patients in understanding their cost of care and insurance benefits/coverage. To comply with federal law, SHOLA provides a Price Estimator for Shoppable Services, and a machine-readable file of Standard Charges to adhere to CMS Hospital Price Transparency requirements. Effective January 1, 2023.

Use our Price Estimator to help better understand the potential costs of care. While this tool offers a starting point, your final responsibility may differ based on your insurance coverage, benefit plan and the specific care you receive. Standard Charges
In compliance with federal law, we provide a machine-readable file of Standard Charges. This document lists hospital service charges as required by CMS, but does not reflect the actual amount patients will pay, since final costs vary based on insurance coverage, benefit plans and individual care needs.
